We're (Still) Having a (Maybe) Baby, My Baby & Me

My beautiful baby girl.

I just told Daddy & your big brother Tristan you're coming to our family.

Mommy & Daddy needed lots of help making you because Mommy has lots of ouchies in her tummy.  When the doctor put you in Mommy's tummy, Tristan and Daddy and Dr. Maas and the nurse and the embryologist were all there.  When everyone came in Tristan shouted "Ready?!"  He is so ready to see you again.

I think Tristan remembers his baby sister.  When the doctor showed us where you went in Mommy's tummy, Tristan started to ask "Mommy Baby?", "Tristan Baby?", & telling everyone "Baby Baby Baby!"  We never told him all the "Mommy Doctor Show" and needle trips were to get to have you, so I think he must have been waiting for you.

It's a scary time for Mommy.  The doctor wants there to be lots of something called HCG in Mommy's blood to make sure you get big & strong & healthy, & there's not as much as he wants.  So Mommy gets another needle (besides all the other needles) in 2 more days.  Please stay put my love.  Grow & grow & grow!!!  Mommy is so excited to meet you.

Daddy is worried Tristan will have a hard time being gentle, but he will love you soooooooooo much.  Tristan will be a great big brother as Mommy & Daddy help him learn.  And Daddy already loves the way you're changing Mommy's body, mostly breasts and hips but apparently also my walk is "more alluring"!  Funny how you babies change things.  Daddy noticed Mommy's hips being more curvy & the change in my walk on Sunday, but Mommy & Daddy both noticed my breasts changing on Thursday.  And yesterday Mommy suddenly felt very sick & had to eat RIGHT NOW, just like when Tristan was in my tummy.  And I think you probably finally settled in Friday night because Mommy's tummy was SO MAD I was scared you wouldn't stay.

Mommy had to work today after they took my blood to make sure you were in my tummy.  The lady called & Mommy was so happy!!!  It's a long drive from Oregon, & on the way home Mommy sang "Hannah's Song" to you.  And then as Mommy got into Caldwell.  Mommy turned on the radio right before Mommy got home the song "Overcomer" came on.  Mommy loves that song & cranked the volume & started singing & crying.  Mommy has been so tired & scared baby love.  Mommy has been so worried after all the things we've done to get you here, it still wouldn't be enough.  That song is exactly what Mommy needed to hear today.

Mommy loves you so much baby girl.  I'm pretty sure Daddy & I know your middle name, but we will see who you decide to be.  Your brothers & sister are going to be so happy to hold you & love you & play with you & do all the special things.  We love you so much sweetheart, already & always.  Say hi to grandmas & grandpas.  We miss them so much.  Mommy had a dream about Aunt Julie last week.  I wonder if she's with you.  And Aunt Jamie too.  So many people who love you & can't wait to see all the amazing things you're going to do.
